This position combines hands-on patient care with the coordination of clinical research visits, working closely with investigators and the research team. Candidates must hold an active California phlebotomy certification and be comfortable performing blood draws. Occasional travel to our Los Angeles office is required to support study visits and office needs. Responsibilities Coordinate and assist with clinical research visits according to study protocols and investigator instructions. Perform blood draws and prepare, process, label, and ship laboratory specimens according to study requirements. Obtain vital signs, collect medical history information, and perform ECGs and other assessments within training and authorized scope. Assist with participant recruitment, prescreening, scheduling, reminders, and follow-up. Maintain accurate and timely source documentation, study records, and electronic data entry. Assist with regulatory files, study supplies, laboratory kits, and exam room preparation. Communicate with participants, investigators, study monitors, and internal team members. Support study monitoring visits and respond to data queries as assigned. Protect participant confidentiality and follow study protocols, Good Clinical Practice guidelines, and site procedures. Provide occasional coverage at our Los Angeles office. Required Qualifications Active California phlebotomy certification. Hands-on blood draw experience and confidence working directly with patients. Previous experience in a medical office, clinical setting, or clinical research environment. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Professional communication skills and a welcoming, compassionate approach to patient care. Comfort using electronic medical records, online systems, and basic office software. Ability to work on-site in Long Beach and travel occasionally to our Los Angeles office. Preferred Qualifications Medical Assistant training or certification. Clinical research coordination experience. Familiarity with specimen processing, ECGs, study documentation, and electronic data capture systems. Current BLS/CPR certification. Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
