Principal Investigator SDS Clinical Trials - 5.0 Santa Ana, CA Job Details Part-time 20 hours ago Qualifications Management Doctoral degree Research ethical considerations Research safety & compliance Medical License Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated physician Principal Investigator (MD or DO) to lead clinical research programs focused primarily on sleep disorders and central nervous system (CNS) disorders . The Principal Investigator will provide medical and scientific leadership across clinical research studies, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, scientific integrity, regulatory compliance, and study execution. The ideal candidate is a clinically experienced physician with a strong interest in research and a desire to contribute to the development of new therapies and improved treatment approaches for patients with sleep and neurological disorders. This is an opportunity to play a key role in developing and expanding a clinical research program while working collaboratively with sponsors, CROs, research staff, and referring physicians. Key Responsibilities Serve as Principal Investigator for clinical research studies involving sleep disorders, CNS disorders, and related therapeutic areas. Provide medical oversight of study participants throughout the clinical trial process. Review medical histories, eligibility criteria, laboratory results, adverse events, and other clinical data. Ensure participant safety and appropriate medical management during research studies. Develop and maintain strong relationships with study sponsors, CROs, and research partners. Ensure studies are conducted in accordance with
ICH-GCP, FDA
regulations, IRB requirements, study protocols, and applicable federal and state regulations . Provide clinical leadership and oversight to research coordinators and other study personnel. Participate in investigator meetings, site initiation visits, monitoring visits, and sponsor communications. Review and sign study-related medical documentation and source records as required. Maintain current knowledge of developments in sleep medicine, neuroscience, neurology, and clinical research.
Qualifications Required:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Current, unrestricted medical license in California Strong interest in clinical research and evidence-based medicine Ability to serve as a physician Principal Investigator and provide appropriate medical oversight Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills Commitment to participant safety, ethical research, and scientific integrity Preferred Board certification or board eligibility in Sleep Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty Clinical experience relevant to sleep medicine, neurology, psychiatry, or another CNS-related specialty Prior Principal Investigator experience is preferred but not required. Physicians with strong clinical experience and an interest in developing a career in clinical research are encouraged to apply.
