Upland, CA About Us The California Neuropsychiatric Institute is a rapidly growing outpatient psychiatry practice and clinical research site dedicated to advancing mental health care. We provide comprehensive psychiatric services while conducting industry-sponsored clinical trials evaluating innovative treatments for depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, Alzheimer's disease, ADHD, PTSD, and other CNS disorders. We are seeking a motivated Medical Assistant / Clinical Research Coordinator (MA/CRC) to join our team. This position combines direct patient care with clinical research and offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth. ResponsibilitiesMedical Assistant Room patients and obtain vital signs Prepare patients for psychiatric evaluations Perform urine drug screens and specimen collection Assist with Spravato (esketamine) treatment visits Administer questionnaires and clinical rating scales Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up appointments Process medication refills and prior authorizations Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Clinical Research Recruit and prescreen potential research participants Coordinate study visits and participant scheduling Maintain source documentation and study records Perform study procedures according to protocol Process laboratory specimens and coordinate shipments Communicate with sponsors, CROs, and research participants Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, GCP, and study protocols Assist with regulatory documentation and study start-up activities QualificationsRequired Medical Assistant certification or equivalent clinical experience Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused Preferred Previous Clinical Research Coordinator or Clinical Research Assistant experience Experience with psychiatric, neurology, or primary care patients Phlebotomy experience Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and electronic data capture (EDC) Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Paid time off Opportunities for professional growth Training in psychiatric clinical research Supportive and collaborative team environment Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday Day shift If you enjoy working with patients and are interested in clinical research, we would love to hear from you.
