The ideal candidate will be motivated to develop and build their personal knowledge and skills to assist with the growth and success of the office. Job Description :
As an Environmental Planner, you will be responsible for assisting with project management duties, leading tasks, preparing full or major sections of NEPA documents, preparing technical reports or permits based on education, training, or qualifications, and conducting field investigations or resource surveys for a variety of projects within the transportation, rail, renewables, water, ports, and utility sectors in Arizona or other states as needed.
Duties:
Preparation of NEPA documents, technical documents, and/or environmental permits (including State and Federal Resource Agency permits, agency access and encroachment permits, etc.). Experience implementing environmental commitments compliance oversight during construction, implementation, operations, and restoration activities. Assisting with the preparation of project budgets, scopes of work, and schedules. Conducting site visits or field investigations and preparing technical resource-specific reports or permits based on education, expertise, and experience. Environmental compliance, monitoring, or tracking of environmental commitments during construction. Coordination with internal disciplines, subconsultants, and resource agency personnel when necessary. Reviewing project engineering drawings and providing environmental input when needed. Conducting quality control reviews of documents. Assist with business development and marketing efforts. Conducting research for information relevant to environmental consideration on projects. Preparing tables, comment logs, meeting minutes/notes, or document templates when required. Other duties as necessary. Job Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, natural resources, planning, or related fields, advanced degree a plus. Minimum of five (5) years of experience preparing NEPA documents for transportation, railway, renewables, water, and utility sectors in Arizona. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas to peers, senior staff, and clients. Office, field, and remote work environment. Travel required when necessary, including the potential for overnight stays. Experience with common software for industry, specifically Microsoft products. Experience with GIS is a plus.

Bilingual in Spanish
