Our customers include private individuals, non-profit land trusts, county and state forest preserves and conservation districts. Duties and Responsibilities Identification of native and invasive plant species Invasive herbaceous species control by hand-pulling, mowing, and appropriate and careful targeted use of herbicides Invasive woody species control utilizing brush cutters, mowers, and chainsaws Follow proper procedures when controlling invasive species, including the use of personal protective equipment Installation of native seeds and plants and protective components, like erosion control fabric and deer exclusion fencing Qualifications Ability to work well with and respect your coworkers, clients, and the public Higher education in ecology or environmental studies, high school graduates with environmental volunteer or work experience. Ability to perform physically demanding work for long hours in all weather conditions A drivers license and insured reliable vehicle A State of Illinois Pesticide Operators License (ability to pass the General Standards test soon after acceptance). Pay:

$23.50 - $28.50 per hour
