Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Ultra Violet Environmental Services Technician and be at the forefront of infection control and environmental safety! This immediate-start role offers an exciting opportunity to operate cutting-edge ultraviolet (UV) disinfection technology designed to eliminate harmful pathogens in various healthcare and commercial settings. As a vital part of our mission to create safer environments, you will perform thorough UV disinfection procedures, ensure equipment functionality, and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Your proactive approach will help protect patients, staff, and visitors while contributing to public health initiatives. Duties Operate Xenex Ultra Violet (UV) disinfection systems with precision according to established protocols Prepare treatment areas by ensuring proper setup and safety measures before UV deployment Conduct routine inspections of UV equipment to verify operational integrity and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs Follow detailed step-by-step procedures for each disinfection cycle, including room preparation and post-treatment validation Maintain accurate documentation of each disinfection session, including dates, locations, and equipment usage logs Adhere strictly to safety guidelines to prevent exposure to UV light, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Collaborate with healthcare or facility staff to coordinate disinfection schedules and ensure minimal disruption to operations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in environmental services or infection control are a plus Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards in all procedures Excellent communication skills for clear documentation and team collaboration Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed for immediate start Prior experience with UV technology or environmental sanitation is advantageous but not required; comprehensive training will be provided Join us in making a tangible difference by helping create cleaner, safer environments through innovative UV disinfection technology!
