The Lecturer will present course materials during the assigned courses times, hold office hours, help proctor, grade exams and assignments, develop homework/exam questions and coordinate any other requirements related to the instruction of the course. Additional duties may include assisting students with laboratory activities, preparing for laboratory instruction and delivering lectures.
Position Status:
Part Time Minimum Education and Experience Requires a master's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, microbiology or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience teaching in the interested course. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated teaching experience and effectiveness. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Online teaching platforms, including Canvas, Zoom, and others as needed. Overview The School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, located on the George H. Cook Campus, is one of the largest schools of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey. We pursue excellence in research, teaching, and outreach in areas of study that address the environmental science and engineering spectrum from environmental microbiology and chemistry to applied topics including water and wastewater treatment, solid waste management, and remediation.
