Job Overview As an Entry Level Field Technician I , you will receive hands-on training and gain foundational experience in the operation, maintenance, and monitoring (OM&M) of environmental control systems. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in environmental services, field operations, construction, or related technical industries. Working under the guidance of senior-level supervisors such as Project Superintendents and Project Managers, you will assist with environmental control system operations, perform field inspections, collect data, complete maintenance tasks, and learn industry-standard health and safety practices. Key Responsibilities Learn and comply with all SCS policies, procedures, and safety programs. Adhere to the SCS Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP), Quality Management System, and Standards of Business Conduct and Ethics. Develop a foundational understanding of environmental control systems and their operation. Assist senior staff with planning and execution of field activities and daily Crew Activity Plans (CAPs). Participate in the monitoring, adjustment, maintenance, and repair of environmental control system components. Conduct field observations and maintain accurate field notes and daily activity logs. Collect environmental data using various field instruments and equipment. Learn proper calibration, care, and maintenance of monitoring instruments. Review collected data with supervisors to understand basic environmental system performance and interpretation. Support operational adjustments to environmental systems based on field findings and data review. Utilize and maintain tools, equipment, and materials needed for environmental system repairs and maintenance. Assist field teams with the removal and maintenance of landfill liquid pumps and related equipment. Perform work in accordance with company safety standards and environmental regulations. Qualifications No prior experience required; experience in mechanical, construction, environmental, solid waste, or related fields is preferred. Must possess or be willing to complete a 40-Hour

HAZWOPER

Course (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120) . Training will be provided if certification is not current. Basic computer and technology skills Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Ability to meet physical job requirements and successfully pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE).

Ability to:

Drive company vehicles, including pickup trucks. Walk and inspect improved and unimproved properties. Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Perform hand excavation and digging using shovels and picks. Climb ladders and operate man lifts. Use electric power tools, including drills and saws. Use hand tools, including screwdrivers, wrenches, and hammers. Work safely in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
