Rig Setup:
Connect test units, high-pressure hoses, and manifold systems to oilfield tubing or pipe sections.
Pressure Application:
Pump water into tubing segments and ramp internal pressure up to required operational or regulatory thresholds.
Leak Detection:
Monitor pressure gauges and visually inspect connections or pipe bodies for leaks, drops in pressure, or structural deformation.
Sorting and Marking:
Color-code, tag, or segregate defective tubing from certified, pressure-passed inventory.
Maintenance & Safety:
Perform daily maintenance on pumps and test units, adhere to strict Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and wear mandated personal protective equipment (PPE). Qualifications and Skills
Physical Strength:
Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and perform manual labor outdoors or in industrial shop environments.
Technical Knowledge:
Understanding of pressure ratings, basic math, and reading gauge readouts or testing charts.
Safety Compliance:
Commitment to on-site safety rules, hazard identification, and environment regulations.
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; prior oilfield, manufacturing, or heavy industrial experience is typically preferred
