The role requires a strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in outdoor conditions. Technicians begin in a labor-focused role and may advance to Field Tech II based on performance and skill development. Progression into the Equipment Operator track is available through hands-on experience with heavy equipment and advanced site operations as skills are developed.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with excavation, material handling, and site preparation. Operate and maintain basic field equipment for environmental monitoring (Level II). Support heavy equipment operators by acting as a spotter. Conduct drum collection, waste handling and hazardous material disposal. Follow strict safety protocols and environmental regulations. Maintain clean and organized work areas to ensure efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned by the Field Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED (preferred but not required). Ability to lift 50 lbs., walk over uneven terrain and perform labor-intensive tasks. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Pre-Employment drug screening required per state regulations. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience in environmental remediation, construction, or field operations. Knowledge of basic equipment operation and safety procedures. Ability to work independently and take initiative on tasks. Commitment to delivering high-quality environmental services.
