A little more about our center: Crestwood Terrace is an Intermediate Care Facility, providing care to the mentally ill/behavior health population (ages 21 and up). Located in a quiet neighborhood, we are one of 3 medical centers on our street.

What you will do in this role : You will work closely with our DON to develop & implement the infection control program (ICP) in accordance with current IDPH regulations for our setting. You will ensure compliance with current CDC, OSHA, and local regulations to provide staff education and training as needed. You will need to perform Infection (ICP) Surveillance; tracking & trending and developing action plans accordingly. You will lead the weekly Infection Control QAPI meetings and routinely monitor antibiotics usage & physician prescribing practices. It's a big job in a busy center! Infection Control (Registered Nurse RN or Licensed Practical Nurse LPN): officially we title this job an Infection Preventionist, but in other centers it may be called a Safety & Infectious Disease RN, Infection Control (ICP) Coordinator or an Infection Prevention (ICP) Nurse. What we need from you : Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed in IL The a-IPC EPI (101 and 102 for LTC), or CIC (Certification in Infection Prevention and Control) is ideal. But we will also consider applicants with a current (or willing to obtain the) CDC infection Prevention Training Course. Prior nursing care in a SNF or ICF setting preferred Must have experience with an electronic documentation system; preferably PCC Don't have the above listed credentials?
