Schedule:
Full-Time (40hrs/week) What You'll Do The Infection Preventionist is a professional who works independently and collaboratively with the Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator (IPO) to provide service line support to Freeman Health System. Acts as a resource for department, administration, medical staff, and hospital personnel in areas related to Infection Prevention. Ensures that projects and activities of the hospital are in accordance with the Infection Prevention Plan, HFAP Regulations, CMS, and Hospital policy. Participates in all aspects of the Infection Prevention Program including surveillance, monitoring, prevention, and education on infection prevention processes within Freeman Health System to facilitate opportunities to improve patient care. Submits reports and reviews in a complete, final and timely manner. Works independently utilizing a high level of initiative, judgment and critical thinking skills and collaboratively using good team and communication skills. Ability to exercise excellent judgement in dealing with daily issues as they arise and to recognize when to escalate issues to the IPO. Additional Information Help for Additional Information.   • 2-4 years of experience in healthcare quality, clinical discipline or other related field.
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 90 days.
  • Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse's state of residence. Freeman Perks and Programs
