The specific benefits vary based on the position and may include: Medical, prescription drug, and dental coverage Paid vacation, holidays, and various leave programs Competitive retirement benefits, including defined contribution plans and voluntary tax-deferred savings options Employee and dependent educational benefits (when applicable) Life insurance coverage Employee discount programs Posting Summary The Department of Food Science in the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is currently seeking Part-time Lecturers or Co-adjutants to teach or Co-adjutants to provide academic support for various undergraduate or graduate courses such as: Food and Health; Field to Table; Food Process Engineering; Current Issues in Food Science and Food Law; Food Product Development; Food Microbiology Lab; Carbohydrates in Foods; Nutragenomics & Nutraceuticals, and possibly others during the Spring 2026 semester. The instructors will present course materials during assigned course times and non-teaching co-adjutants will provide academic support. Other duties include holding office hours, administering exams, assigning grades and coordinating any other requirements related to course instruction. 11/19/2025 Minimum Education and Experience Interested candidates should have a degree in food science preferably at the MS or PhD level. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated evidence of past teaching effectiveness and experience. Certifications/Licenses n/a Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.Must have authorization to work in the USA.
