Mid-Level / Experienced Professional About the Position We are seeking a motivated and versatile Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer to join our environmental consulting team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of field work, technical investigations, report writing, client interaction, and project management. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of environmental and industrial hygiene projects, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, asbestos, lead and mold investigations, underground storage tank (UST) projects, subsurface investigations, air monitoring, soil and groundwater sampling, and other environmental consulting services. We are looking for someone who can work independently in the field while also developing into a project management role. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who is comfortable getting their hands dirty in the field, interacting with clients and contractors, and taking ownership of projects from beginning to end. Responsibilities Environmental Consulting & Site Assessment Perform and assist with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with ASTM standards. Perform and assist with Phase II ESAs and subsurface investigations. Conduct soil, groundwater, surface water, and other environmental sampling. Assist with the investigation and assessment of recognized environmental conditions and potential contamination. Perform and oversee UST investigations, removals, closures, tankhold assessments, and related environmental activities. Coordinate and/or oversee drilling, excavation, soil boring, monitoring well installation, and other subsurface investigation activities. Conduct field observations and document site conditions, environmental concerns, and investigation activities. Interpret field and laboratory analytical data and assist with determining appropriate follow-up actions. Industrial Hygiene / Hazardous Building Materials Conduct asbestos inspections and sampling. Perform lead-based paint and lead exposure assessments and sampling. Conduct mold/moisture investigations and sampling. Perform indoor and outdoor air monitoring, including personal and area sampling. Assist with exposure assessments for occupational and environmental contaminants. Collect and document bulk, air, dust, soil, water, and other environmental samples. Prepare sampling plans, field documentation, and technical reports. Interface with laboratories and review analytical results for compliance with applicable requirements. Project Management Assist with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of environmental projects. Progress toward independently managing projects from proposal through completion. Prepare proposals, scopes of work, cost estimates, and project schedules. Coordinate subcontractors, laboratories, drilling contractors, environmental contractors, and other project resources. Communicate with clients, property owners, contractors, attorneys, regulators, and other project stakeholders. Prepare technical reports, letters, recommendations, and other project deliverables. Track project budgets, schedules, and deliverables. Maintain accurate project documentation and field records. Assist with business development and identifying additional client needs when appropriate. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Approximately 2-7 years of relevant environmental consulting, industrial hygiene, engineering, geology, or related experience preferred. Experience with environmental field investigations and sampling preferred. Experience with Phase I/Phase II ESAs, USTs, asbestos, lead, mold, air monitoring, soil or groundwater sampling is highly desirable. Strong technical writing and communication skills. Ability to interpret laboratory analytical data and technical information. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, professional documentation. Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions in the field. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, coworkers, and other professionals. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites. Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding field activities, including walking, climbing, lifting equipment, and working in varying weather conditions. Our projects can take you from an office building conducting an asbestos inspection, to a manufacturing facility performing air monitoring, to a former gas station investigating USTs, to a drilling project collecting soil and groundwater samples. The ideal candidate will be comfortable wearing multiple hats and developing expertise across several areas of environmental consulting. You don't need to know everything on day one. Pay:

$63,023.30 - $75,899.02 per year
