We are seeking a full-time Project Manager/Geologist in our Pittsburgh (Carnegie), PA office. This position is ideal for an experienced geologist with a strong background in environmental investigations, hydrogeology, subsurface characterization, and site remediation. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex groundwater and subsurface challenges while managing projects from investigation through remedy implementation. What you'll do at KEY Project Management Manage environmental investigations and remediation projects from initial site characterization through remedy implementation and site closure. Develop and manage project work plans, schedules, and budgets, as appropriate. Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel. Review and interpret geological, hydrogeological, and chemical analytical data to support project decisions. Technical Leadership Lead or oversee Phase I and Phase II environmental investigations, site characterization, and remedial investigations. Develop and evaluate conceptual site models (CSMs) to characterize subsurface conditions and contaminant distribution. Plan and oversee soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and other environmental sampling programs. Evaluate subsurface geology and hydrogeology, including groundwater flow, contaminant migration, and aquifer characteristics. Develop and interpret geologic and hydrogeologic cross-sections, potentiometric surface maps, and other representations of subsurface conditions. Lead the design and implementation of groundwater monitoring programs and provide technical leadership on groundwater remediation projects. Evaluate remedial alternatives and provide technical support for remedy selection and implementation. Interface with state and federal regulatory agencies and prepare permit applications, work plans, investigation reports, and compliance documentation. Prepare and review technical reports, regulatory submittals, and remediation documents. Conduct and/or oversee statistical evaluation and interpretation of environmental analytical data. Oversee brownfield remediation and redevelopment projects. Direct environmental projects administered under CERCLA, RCRA, and a variety of state voluntary programs. Business Development & Mentoring Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior geologists and other technical staff. Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, scope development, cost estimates, and client development. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology, Geological Engineering, Hydrogeology, or a related field. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Professional Geologist (P.G.) licensure preferred. 10+ years of professional experience with a strong emphasis on environmental investigations, hydrogeology, site characterization, and remediation, including: Experience working under state and federal environmental regulatory programs. Experience with environmental field investigations, soil and groundwater sampling, and subsurface characterization. Experience evaluating geological and hydrogeological conditions, developing conceptual site models, and interpreting environmental analytical data. Experience managing project budgets and schedules. Experience preparing technical proposals and cost estimates. Ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams. Ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members. Why Join KEY?
