Laboratory Schedule:
Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week | Day/Evening Shifts with
Rotating Weekends & Holidays Sign-On Bonus:
$5,000 Join the Laboratory team at Marshalltown Hospital and play a vital role in delivering accurate, timely results that help guide patient care. As a Laboratory Scientist - Non-Certified, you'll perform a wide variety of laboratory testing while working with advanced technology in a collaborative, patient-focused environment where quality and precision matter. Responsibilities Perform waived, moderate, and high-complexity laboratory testing to support patient diagnosis and treatment Process and prioritize specimens while ensuring accurate patient identification and quality standards Analyze test results, recognize abnormalities, and communicate critical findings appropriately Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex laboratory equipment to ensure reliable performance Maintain compliance with laboratory quality, safety, infection control, and regulatory standards Document testing activities accurately and utilize laboratory information systems effectively Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide timely, accurate laboratory services Assist with specimen collection, inventory management, and other departmental support activities as needed Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff training, and ongoing professional development Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment while supporting departmental goals and patient-centered care
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science.
