Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Medical Technologist (MT)

Department:

Core Laboratory / Microbiology Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Medical Technologist (MT), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a 13-week night-shift travel assignment in Bossier City, Louisiana . The MLS will work independently in a Core Laboratory / Microbiology setting with minimal overnight support. The ideal candidate should have strong experience across multiple laboratory disciplines, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently. First-time travelers may be considered based on qualifications and laboratory experience. Key Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing accurately and efficiently according to established procedures. Work independently during overnight shifts with minimal support. Perform testing across multiple core laboratory disciplines. Analyze and report patient specimens and test results. Perform quality control and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation. Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records. Follow laboratory safety, regulatory, and quality standards. Identify and resolve testing or instrument issues when possible. Communicate critical or abnormal results according to facility protocols. Collaborate with laboratory leadership and other healthcare professionals when needed. Required Qualifications 2-3 years of clinical laboratory experience Louisiana Clinical Laboratory Science License required

Schedule & Work Environment Night Shift:

8:00 PM

• 6:30 AM 10-hour shifts 7 days on / 7 days off 36 guaranteed hours per week Every other weekend as part of the regular schedule No call Overtime opportunities available Holidays worked when they fall within the scheduled work week No floating Minimal support staff overnight Shift coordinator available Leadership available during day/evening shifts Emergency troubleshooting support available from other facilities
