Type:

full-time Clinical Scientist - Oncology Our client, a leading global pharmaceutical organization, is seeking a talented Clinical Scientist to join their oncology research and development division. This role is based in Cambridge and operates under a hybrid work model. The successful candidate will provide scientific leadership for oncology pipeline programs across major global regions. You will be instrumental in designing and executing clinical development plans that guide novel compounds through the regulatory approval process. As a key member of a cross-functional matrix team, you will ensure that scientific integrity and data findings are at the forefront of every decision. Key Responsibilities Serve as a scientific lead for development teams in the US and Europe, ensuring regional activities align with global strategies. Author and contribute to critical documents including clinical protocols, study synopses, and comprehensive development plans. Monitor and interpret data from ongoing clinical trials to provide go or no-go recommendations that impact project timelines and product labeling. Present and defend study designs before scientific and corporate review committees. Manage the assessment of protocol conduct and patient safety in collaboration with medical monitors and pharmacovigilance teams. Act as a primary liaison with key opinion leaders and regulatory agencies to influence compound strategy and research programs. Contribute to internal task forces and provide market insights based on therapeutic area expertise. Educational and Professional Requirements Bachelor degree with 6 years of experience, Master degree with 4 years, PharmD with 2 years, or a PhD with 1 year of experience. Background must include clinical research or development within a pharmaceutical, CRO, academic, or healthcare consulting environment. Strong understanding of GCP and ICH guidelines alongside regional and global regulatory requirements. Deep knowledge of oncology or therapeutic areas relevant to specific mechanisms of action. Proven ability to drive decision-making within multi-disciplinary and multi-regional teams. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to simplify complex scientific information. Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate program challenges. Compensation and Benefits The anticipated base salary range for this position in Boston is 116,000 to 182,270 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidates qualifications, specialized skills, and professional experience.
