Remote Medical Science Liaison, Oncology - South/South East - Remote Cosette Pharmaceuticals, Inc. United States, North Carolina, Lincolnton Jul 24, 2026 Description The MSL supports Medical Affairs strategy by communicating accurate, balanced, and current scientific and clinical information on Cosette's oncology portfolio, relevant disease states, treatment landscape, clinical evidence, and unmet medical needs. This role gathers and communicates actionable field insights, supports scientific engagement activities, research and educational initiatives, and partners cross-functionally while maintaining Medical Affairs independence. Key Responsibilities Scientific Exchange and KOL Engagement
Serve as the field-based scientific expert for the oncology portfolio and support execution of Medical Affairs strategy and territory medical plans.
Develop and execute a territory engagement plan identifying and prioritizing oncology and adjacent oncology KOLs, investigators, academic centers, community oncology practices, and other appropriate external stakeholders within the assigned geography.
Conduct balanced, non-promotional, scientifically accurate medical-to-medical exchange regarding disease state, treatment landscape, clinical evidence, product information, treatment guidelines, and unmet medical needs.
Respond to unsolicited medical/scientific inquiries in accordance with Cosette Medical Affairs policy and coordinate follow-up with Medical Information or other internal partners as appropriate. Insights, Research, and Education
Capture, document, and communicate actionable field-based scientific insights related to treatment patterns, evidence gaps, competitive landscape, emerging oncology trends, and stakeholder needs.
Support research initiatives, including investigator-initiated trial facilitation, Cosette-sponsored study site identification and support, and investigator or advisory interactions in coordination with Clinical Development and Medical Affairs.
Support medical congress coverage, advisory boards, scientific communications, medical education initiatives, speaker training, and scientific content review as appropriate. Internal Partnership and Compliance
Partner cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Medical Information, Clinical Development, Market Access, Commercial, Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance while maintaining the non-promotional role of Medical Affairs.
Maintain deep, current expertise in assigned disease areas, Cosette products, market places, clinical trial data, treatment guidelines, and the regulatory/compliance framework governing field medical activities.
Maintain timely and complete documentation of stakeholder engagements, insights, follow-up activities, training, expenses, and other required records.
Operate in full compliance with Cosette policies, the PhRMA Code, OIG guidance, FDA regulations, and applicable federal and state laws, including adverse event and product complaint reporting requirements. Qualifications Education
Terminal scientific or clinical degree required (PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO). Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of oncology MSL or comparable field medical experience required.
Experience engaging oncology KOLs, academic centers, community oncology practices, clinical investigators, or multidisciplinary cancer care teams within the assigned geography.
Strong understanding of oncology disease states, treatment landscape, clinical trial design, evidence interpretation, treatment guidelines, and compliant scientific communication.
Demonstrated ability to engage external experts and communicate complex scientific information clearly, accurately, credibly, and compliantly. Preferred Experience
Experience supporting product launch or relaunch readiness, congress activities, advisory boards, scientific communications, investigator-initiated research, evidence-generation discussions, or medical insight generation.
Familiarity with oncology channels such as insurance requirements, specialty pharmacy, integrated delivery networks, and/or regional oncology networks. Required Capabilities
Strong scientific and clinical acumen with the ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical data and therapeutic concepts to expert audiences.
Excellent presentation, scientific communication, relationship-building, and virtual/in-person engagement skills.
Self-motivated, organized, accountable, and able to manage a broad field territory with sound scientific judgment and uncompromising integrity. Travel Requirements
Field-based, home-office role supporting the assigned North/Northeast oncology territory; candidate must reside within the assigned geography, preferably near a major airport to support regional travel across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and select adjacent northern markets.
Ability to travel approximately 50-75%, including overnight travel for territory visits, internal meetings, medical congresses, advisory boards, and other business needs.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to meet healthcare-industry-representative credentialing requirements for facility access.
