Mission Regional Medical Center - Mission, TX We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I, also referred to as a Medical Technologist (Med Tech) or Medical Laboratory Technologist I. The Clinical Lab Scientist I (CLS I) requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. They play an important role in the diagnostic process, contributing significantly to patient care and treatment. Responsibilities Responsibilities Section Perform laboratory tests on blood, tissues, and other bodily fluids to aid in the diagnosis of diseases and conditions, this may include routine tests as well as specialized tests Interpret lab test results and identify any abnormalities, ensure the accuracy and reliability of these results to assist doctors in making informed decisions about patient care Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain high standards in laboratory testing, you may also calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment Keep accurate and detailed records of all laboratory tests performed and their results, input data into our laboratory information systems Ensure all laboratory operations comply with hospital policies, governmental regulations, and accreditation requirements Qualifications Qualifications Section 1. ASCP certification, or equivalent, preferred.2. One year hospital laboratory work experience preferred, but not required.3. Bachelor's Degree in chemical, physical, biological health science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements stated in CLIA (42 CFR 493.1423).4.
