Job Description

A growing manufacturer in the personal care and consumer products industry is seeking a Microbiologist to join its quality team. Responsibilities Perform Microbial Limit Testing and Suitability Testing in accordance with USP <60>, <61>, and <62>. Prepare microbiological media, reagents, and laboratory supplies for testing. Perform Growth Promotion and sterility testing on new media and reagent lots. Receive, inspect, and document samples for microbiological testing. Maintain laboratory equipment, perform routine calibrations, and ensure laboratory cleanliness. Follow aseptic techniques, cGMP requirements, and established laboratory procedures. Accurately document test results and communicate findings to the quality team. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related scientific field. 2-5 years of microbiology laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical, personal care, cosmetics, food, or other regulated manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with USP microbiological testing methods, including USP <60>, <61>, <62>, <51>, and/or <1231>, is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of cGMP regulations and aseptic laboratory techniques. Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.
