This energetic role is perfect for individuals passionate about patient care and eager to support physical therapists in delivering exceptional rehabilitation services. You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to helping patients regain mobility, strength, and confidence through hands-on assistance, patient interaction, and clinic support. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists with patient setup, transfers, and manual handling to ensure safe and effective treatment sessions Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and supplies for therapy sessions, maintaining a clean and organized environment Support patients during exercises and rehabilitation activities, providing encouragement and ensuring proper technique Manage patient intake procedures, including documentation of medical history and current condition details Maintain patient confidentiality at all times while handling sensitive health information in accordance with privacy regulations Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating patient records, and coordinating clinic flow Support hospital or outpatient-based care by understanding patient transfer methods and assisting with mobility as needed Requirements Prior experience practicing in a physical therapy or healthcare support role is highly desirable Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and rehabilitation principles Experience working in hospital or outpatient clinics, especially in orthopedics or sports medicine settings Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse client populations including geriatrics and post-acute care patients Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with patient transfers using proper techniques Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required; additional certifications such as acute care or inpatient experience are advantageous Familiarity with physiotherapy equipment, manual handling techniques, and post-operative or injury recovery protocols Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare standards This role is an exciting stepping stone for those passionate about physiotherapy and eager to make a positive impact on patients' lives.
