Asheville/Clyde Delivers precise radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by oncologists. Develops and implements individualized radiation treatment plans using advanced planning software. Collaborates with oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment protocols. Conducts quality assurance tests on radiation therapy equipment to ensure accurate and safe operation. Monitors and evaluates patient responses to radiation therapy, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Educates patients and their families about the radiation therapy process, potential side effects, and post-treatment care. Maintains accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, dosages, and progress notes. Ensures compliance with all regulatory standards and safety protocols related to radiation therapy. Other duties as assigned. Utilizes imaging technologies such as CT, MRI, and PET scans to guide treatment planning and delivery. Participates in continuous professional development and training to stay current with advancements in radiation therapy. Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues with radiation therapy equipment. Provides emotional support and reassurance to patients undergoing radiation therapy.
Education:
• Doctorate [Preferred] • Master's [Required]

• 3+ years of experience [Required]
Licenses and Certifications:
• American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) [Required] OR • American Board of Radiology (ABR) [Required]

Pay Range:
