Your role and responsibilities
This role involves measuring, simulating, and interpreting the performance of research quantum processors and associated hardware components.
Responsibilities might include conducting experimental characterizations such as spectroscopy and time- domain measurements, e.g., coherence time assessments, analyzing data to understand device behavior, and developing simulation-based models to correlate experimental results with theoretical predictions. Depending on project needs and individual interests, the position may include deeper investigations into topics such as coherence performance as a function of qubit frequency, coupler dynamics and multi-qubit interaction optimization, and model-to-hardware correlation using open-source quantum simulation frameworks such as QuTiP and scqubits.
Required technical and professional expertise
Bachelors degree in Physics or related fields.
Experience with RF and microwave electronics, including spectrum analyzers, digitizers, sources and pulse generators.
Coding experience in python.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Research background in the field of in solid-state qubit platforms.
Fluency in typical python packages such as QuTiP or scqubits.
