Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Agronomy Intern and immerse yourself in the world of Specialty Crops. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in research, data analysis, and sustainable farming practices. You will work closely with our customers and expert agronomists to support ongoing projects that aim to optimize crop production, improve plant health, and develop cutting-edge solutions for modern agriculture. Duties:
Co-op agronomist and customer sales advisor of specialty and turf Reports to Co-op Division Operations Manager with a dotted line report to GM Support of customer solutions and troubleshooting of existing operations Provide products Information/ technical assistance for end-user's Visit end user on the farm and view their issues and suggest options Assistance with warehouse and counter duties Make deliveries when necessarily Have a positive impact on both employees and Co-op members Assist with GAP certification Help assist other co-op member solving miscellaneous problems including Agrometrics, Crop issues, Funguses, insects/pests, logistics, Plant Nutrition, disease and other issues that will reduce yield and productivity Assist Co-op General Manager with tasks as needed Other; maintain great customer service and satisfaction and assist Farm market division when necessary Skills Strong foundation in horticulture or greenhouse settings Proficiency in analysis skills; disease, insect and weed identification. Knowledge of agricultural sciences including farming techniques, horticulture, microbiology, and plant physiology. Hands-on greenhouse experience or working knowledge of crop cultivation practices Excellent communication skills to document research processes clearly and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams This internship is designed for motivated individuals eager to develop their expertise in agronomy while making meaningful contributions to innovative agricultural solutions. Pay:
$14.50 - $20.00 per hour
