As an integral part of our research and development efforts, you will contribute to scientific advancements that support healthy food systems and resilient agricultural ecosystems. Responsibilities Supervise daily field operations, including planting, irrigation, fertilization, pest management, and harvesting activities Coordinate and oversee data collection efforts related to crop growth, soil health, microbiology, biochemistry, and genetics Implement experimental design protocols for research trials focused on crop science, soil science, and horticulture Manage data entry, organization, and analysis using statistical tools and data management software; utilize R and Python for data analysis and machine learning applications Conduct field research to evaluate crop performance under varying environmental conditions; utilize GIS tools for spatial analysis of farm plots Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices during all field activities Prepare detailed reports, scientific papers for peer-reviewed journals, and presentations to communicate research findings effectively Experience Proven experience in farm management or agricultural research settings with a focus on crop production or soil science Strong background in scientific research methodologies including experimental design, statistical analysis, and data collection techniques Hands-on experience with laboratory procedures in microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or genetics is highly desirable Familiarity with greenhouse operations and growing experience in horticulture or greenhouse environments Demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets using statistical software; proficiency in R and Python is preferred Experience with GIS mapping tools for spatial data analysis of agricultural fields Excellent writing skills for publishing research papers and technical reports; prior publication in peer-reviewed journals is a plus Knowledge of farming practices, crop science principles, and sustainable agriculture techniques Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced research environment
