Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kennel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kennel facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and management, ensuring the well-being of all animals. This role requires a passion for animals, leadership skills, and the ability to handle various tasks related to pet care. Must have past experience. We will train on Petland Protocols and procedures. Kennel bi-weekly performance bonus also provided.

Job Requirements:

❖ Supervise and manage kennel staff, ensuring proper training and adherence to protocols. ❖ Oversee daily operations, including feeding, grooming, and exercising animals. ❖ Experience in a kennel or Veterinarian related environment. ❖ Must have ability to care for pups overnight at home in emergency situations ❖ Must have manager experience ❖ Must have strong animal sensitivity. ❖ Must be able to communicate ❖ Must be a self-started ❖ Must be able to motivate/teach and mentor team members ❖ Must have a good understanding of canine husbandry practices or the ability to quickly learn ❖ Must have the ability to read & write English and follow oral & written instructions ❖ Must be able to comfortably & repetitively lift 40lbs. ❖ Must be able to perform strenuous repetitive tasks ❖ Flexibility & stamina to work retail hours ❖ Strong Communication skills, both oral & written ❖ Ability to follow operating systems and directions from the leadership team ❖ Must have the ability to interact with employees and customers ❖ Ability to understand Spreadsheets and Google Docs ❖ Ability to perform basic math skills ❖ Ability to work with a team of other employees as well as other members of the leadership team to ensure the business goals are met ❖ Must be able to wear and maintain the Petland uniform

Responsibilities:

❖ Completion of Sales Wall 30 minutes prior to opening. ❖ Ability to provide overnight care for puppies when emergency situations arise. ❖ Examination of health-related issues for each individual animal inside of kennel. ❖ Able to create and maintain employee schedules ❖ Administering vaccines and other medications as prescribed by our Vets ❖ Verify that all animals have eaten, and have a healthy appetite. ❖ Completion of Kennel-1 and Kennel-2 Opening/Closing procedures. ❖ Adhering to timelines on Kennel-1 and Kennel-2 checklists. ❖ Clean and maintain any/all equipment provided via Petland Kennesaw ~Report issues/malfunctions~ (Including but not limited to air filters, disinfecting tub, sprayers, etc.) ❖ Maintain a clutter and debris free workplace. ❖ Maintain a well-kept floor (i.e. no water, food, feces, etc.) ❖ Communicate all important information to all Kennel-1, 2/Management before clocking out ❖ Proactively detect and pull any sick puppies from the window immediately ❖ Proactively maintain a sanitary environment its Kennel or PC related ❖ Ensure puppy feeding is monitored and documented ❖ Ensure daily puppy exercise ❖ Ensure all puppies are presentable and clean ❖ Kennel window must be cleaned multiple times per day and smudge free ❖ Maintain high level of Animal Husbandry and cleanliness

Pay:

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
