Our client is a growing, relationship-driven insurance agency based in Coral Gables specializing in Property & Casualty Insurance and serving more than 1,200 policyholders throughout South Florida. The agency is built on a philosophy of insurance with integrity — offering personalized guidance, protection, and peace of mind, and caring for clients like family.
Position Overview:
The Insurance Account Coordinator serves as a key member of the agency's client service team and is responsible for supporting policyholders, managing policy servicing and policy management activities, assisting with retention efforts, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate possesses prior Property & Casualty insurance experience, proficiency in agency management systems, excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to client service.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Client Support Handle inbound client calls and emails professionally and efficiently. Assist clients with policy changes, billing inquiries, coverage questions, and account updates. Process payments and policy service requests. Provide policy documents and insurance information as requested. Maintain accurate client records within agency systems. Policy Servicing & Policy Management Support policy renewals and retention activities. Follow up on pending policy changes, updates and underwriting requests. Coordinate with insurance carriers regarding policy servicing matters. Assist with policy reviews and account maintenance. Ensure timely completion of service-related tasks. Client Retention Deliver exceptional customer service to strengthen client relationships. Identify retention risks and escalate concerns appropriately. Assist with renewal outreach campaigns. Support agency retention goals through proactive communication. Administrative & Operational Support Maintain agency management systems and CRM records. Document client interactions accurately and thoroughly. Assist with reporting and workflow management. Utilize Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and agency software platforms effectively. Team Collaboration Partner closely with agency leadership and team members. Participate in ongoing training and professional development. Contribute ideas for operational improvements and efficiencies.
Required Qualifications:
2-4 years of insurance agency experience preferred. Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience strongly preferred, across all lines. Active Florida 4-40 Customer Representative License preferred. 2-20 welcomed. Proficiency in agency management systems and CRMs. Experience with policy servicing and policy management. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work onsite in Coral Gables/South Miami, Florida.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred, not required). Experience working with Allstate, State Farm, independent agencies, or brokerage environments. Knowledge of Auto, Homeowners, Renters, and Umbrella Insurance. Familiarity with AI tools and workflow automation. Interest in long-term career growth within the insurance industry.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
