• Operating Partner pathway (EHS / sustainability track) You will make sure the buyer isn't acquiring a cleanup bill. Many VDS industries, including chemicals, mining, oil & gas, and heavy manufacturing, carry real site and permit risk. What you'll do Scope and review Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments with qualified environmental firms. Assess site contamination, legacy liabilities, and ecological risks. Check compliance with air, water, waste, and hazardous materials permits (EPA, OSHA, and state rules). Review EHS programs, safety records, incident history, and open enforcement actions. Evaluate ESG and sustainability exposure, including emissions reporting and investor expectations. Estimate remediation and compliance costs and recommend indemnities or price adjustments. After close, lead EHS integration and a safety and sustainability improvement plan. What you bring 7+ years in environmental consulting, EHS leadership, or transaction environmental review. Degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field; PE or CHMM a plus. Hands-on familiarity with

ASTM E1527

Phase I standards and regulatory permitting. Experience in specialty chemicals, oil & gas, mining, or industrial manufacturing preferred.

Operating Partner path:

EHS or sustainability lead, driving safety performance and remediation to plan.
