00 Back Apply Now Job Skills / Requirements Collections and Distribution Internship Job Description Internship Description Spartanburg Water, a water and wastewater utility provider is seeking an intern to support the company within the Collections and Distribution (C&D) Department. Works hand-in-hand with Spartanburg Water professionals operating, maintaining and conducting continuous improvement research for collecting wastewater and distributing drinking water. If you have a genuine interest in environmental sciences and would like to have a hands on experience in serving the community while being a good steward to the environment, this is the internship for you! Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participates in field operations for collections and distribution throughout Spartanburg County
  • Assists in data collection for flow assessment and measurements.
  • Supports day to day administrative/organizational functions in C&D. Performs comparative research on efficiency of current operational/scientific practices versus other potential practices
  • Accomplishes data entry and assists in presenting research through compilation of results into graphical analysis Requirements
  • Enrollment in an institution of higher learning or certification program with an emphasis in environmental studies or relatable subject
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work out-of-doors and also inside a laboratory with equal enthusiasm Benefits
