The Transportation & Storage Analyst I position works with cross-functional teams to support natural gas transportation, nominations, scheduling, storage activity, position reporting, capacity utilization, and operational coverage. This role helps ensure adequate gas supplies are nominated, scheduled, monitored, and adjusted on assigned pipelines to meet member and partner requirements while supporting reliable service and cost-effective operations. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, comfortable working with deadlines, and able to communicate clearly with internal teams, pipelines, suppliers, members, and partners. The position level will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, demonstrated independence, technical capability, and operational knowledge.

Transportation & Storage Analyst I Responsibilities:

Analyze assigned demand, forecasts, actual usage, supply activity, transportation agreements, storage contracts, pipeline capacity, and operational constraints to support appropriate daily scheduling decisions Enter, upload, validate, confirm, and monitor natural gas nominations on pipeline electronic bulletin board systems for assigned pipelines and entities. Review scheduled quantities, pipeline confirmations, cuts, imbalances, position reports, storage activity, and pipeline reports throughout the month; make or support routine changes as needed. Monitor pipeline bulletin board notices, including Operational Flow Orders, capacity allocation notices, maintenance notices, critical notices, restrictions, cuts, and other operational communications. Maintain accurate daily and monthly position reports reflecting nominations, scheduled quantities, supply deals, storage activity, capacity release activity, actual usage, and related operational data. Support storage injections, withdrawals, transfers, inventory activity, storage targets, deliverability limits, fuel impacts, and related operational requirements. Support capacity release, acquisition, recall, shift, and related pipeline transactions in accordance with applicable pipeline requirements and internal procedures. Research, document, resolve, or escalate transportation, scheduling, storage, position reporting, billing support, or reconciliation issues for assigned pipelines and entities. Communicate timely and professionally with member cities, partners, suppliers, pipelines, counterparties, Member Services, Supply, Forecasting, Accounting, Finance, management, and Transportation & Storage staff. • Maintain assigned operational files, nomination models, position reports, storage tracking files, capacity release records, billing support files, and related analytical tools. Participate in training, cross-training, documentation, process improvement efforts, and other duties as assigned. A Qualified Candidate Will Have the

Following:

Bachelor's or higher degree in a related field, preferably business, economics, finance, accounting, engineering, mathematics, computer information systems, data analytics, or another analytical or technical discipline. Relevant experience in natural gas transportation, pipeline scheduling, energy operations, utility operations, logistics, supply operations, business analysis, accounting, finance, or a related field preferred. Energy experience preferred. Interest in developing, or demonstrated working knowledge of, natural gas transportation, pipeline nominations, scheduling cycles, storage activity, capacity release, pipeline notices, Operational Flow Orders, maintenance restrictions, imbalances, and operational balancing. Strong analytical capability, including the ability to review forecasts, actual usage, supply activity, scheduled quantities, pipeline reports, storage activity, billing impacts, and other operational data. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data validation, workbook organization, file review, and the ability to maintain assigned operational files. Experience with Excel-based models, VBA/macros, Power Query, database applications, Access, reporting tools, pipeline EBBs, or other data management applications preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with multidisciplinary internal and external teams. Ability to document recurring processes, assumptions, data sources, pipeline procedures, and file changes in a clear manner that supports continuity, cross-training, management review, and auditability. Ability to work independently at the appropriate level, exercise sound judgment, escalate complex or time-sensitive issues, and support reliable gas delivery, accurate operational records, and penalty avoidance for members and partners. This is an in-person position. The position requires some travel and overtime/after-hours support, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
