What you bring:
Active Illinois School Counselor PEL license (required) Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English Previous experience working as a school counselor, particularly in middle grades (preferred) Demonstrated strength in counseling, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution Strong ability to communicate with students, staff, and families of diverse backgrounds Organizational skills for managing caseload documentation and timely interventions What you'll do: Provide direct counseling services to students in grades 6-8 Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to monitor and enhance student success Offer support in areas like social skills, academic planning, and mental health awareness Document sessions and maintain student confidentiality Develop and facilitate group sessions or classroom workshops as needed Assist with crisis response and conflict mediation Take advantage of this chance to make a substantial impact in a supportive educational community.
