Aug 24, 2026 Job Description Valid and current Massachusetts State Certification. Master's Degree /experience in a behavioral setting preferred. The School Adjustment Counselor will assist students with academic learning and achievement by providing strategic services that identify and address social-emotional and behavioral concerns as well as environmental issues that interfere with the educational process. Duties to include, but not limited to: 1. Oversee the development and implementation of program plans reflective of students' needs. 2. Assist school personnel in developing a more responsive and therapeutic climate for students and serves as consultant in supporting and evaluating programs in school for the prevention, early detection and resolution of emotional and educational difficulties. 3. Establish individual goals for students, meeting with them weekly to address the social and emotional needs of students. 4. Develop and implement weekly social groups to support and encourage student awareness and positive interactions. 5. Act as a liaison between the school, parents, community and outside agencies to reinforce and support the communication necessary for student success. 6. Initiate, plan and develop programs to improve school-wide parent engagement. 7. Develop and implement the school's PBIS system. The salary for this position is according to contract. All positions are subject to qualifications, duties and rates of compensation presently in force, and subject to appropriate funding.
