$45000-$60000 GPS Solutions is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Counselor to join our team. This role is vital in providing emotional and social support to our students, helping them navigate challenges and succeed academically and personally. Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to students Address social, emotional, and behavioral issues affecting students Develop and implement programs to support student well-being and academic success Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student needs Conduct assessments and provide referrals to external resources when necessary Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions Participate in school meetings and contribute to the development of student support plans
Qualifications:
Possess at least one (1) of the following: Master's degree in social work (MSW) with a valid Michigan School Social Worker license, OR Michigan Counselor (or School Counselor) License with a master's degree from an accredited University. Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience providing social work or counseling services. Additional Responsibilities Previous Counselor Ran & Aided. You will be in contact with previous counselor to aid in the transition Student Council Various fundraisers: St. Patrick's, Candy Grams Parent Engagements Trivia Night Game Night Nutrition and it's affects on student learning Communicating with your student: best practices Anti-bullying assembly Teamwork assembly Spring Dance Field Day Classroom Push-Ins SEL Lessons Impulse Control Conflict Resolution M-F 7:30 - 3:30
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
