Job Posting In-House Suspension Room Facilitator High School 2026-2027
School Year Salary:
$140/day Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to supervise students assigned to the in-house suspension room and provide a structured, safe and productive environment. The facilitator will work under the direction of the building administrator and will be responsible for monitoring students, supporting academic work, maintaining expectations for appropriate behavior and communicating concerns to the appropriate staff. This position works 7:20-2:40, Mon-Fri, student days only. Position will be contracted through EDUStaff. Responsibilities
  • Supervise students assigned to the in-house suspension room throughout the assigned day.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly and structured environment consistent with district and building expectations.
  • Review and communicate room expectations with students.
  • Monitor student behavior and redirect students as needed.
  • Ensure students remain in the assigned area and follow established procedures.
  • Provide students with access to and support for academic assignments provided by the teachers.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assignments, behavior and other required information.
  • Communicate student concerns, behavior issues or other significant information to the building administrator.
  • May be required to substitute teach in another classroom if in-house room does not have any students as assigned by the building principal or their designee.
  • Other related duties as assigned by building principal or their designee.

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience working with high school aged children is highly desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
  • Commitment to regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with students and staff.
  • Must pass background checks and comply with state and district requirements for working with students. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move about the building and campus to assist students.
  • May require and employee to lift and/or move heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
  • May require working both general and special education students.
  • May require interaction with students who are experiencing behavioral or disciplinary challenges. The ideal candidate should be comfortable maintaining structure and consistency while treating students with dignity and respect.
