Job Description

Inspire and make a lasting impact as a dedicated Teacher for the Visually Impaired, supporting students in a vibrant educational environment just outside of Pickerington, OH. This contract position for the 2026-2027 academic year offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse caseload—currently 8-10 students, primarily at the elementary level, with the potential to support middle and high school students as needed. You'll enjoy the variety and challenge of serving multiple school sites, playing an essential role in students' growth and development.
What You'll Bring:
Valid and active TVI (Teacher for the Visually Impaired) certification Prior experience or passion for working with visually impaired students in a school-based setting Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation Strong skills in collaboration and communication with students, teachers, and families Flexibility and organizational skills for managing services across multiple locations Commitment to meticulous documentation and adherence to legal and educational requirements
What You'll Do:
Deliver direct and consultative instruction to students per their IEPs Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational teams Provide indirect services, such as documentation, progress monitoring, and IEP-related communication Adjust support as caseload and student needs evolve throughout the year Engage students in creative, adaptive strategies to promote independence and academic growth Enjoy the professional satisfaction of guiding students to overcome challenges and achieve new milestones.
