Stockton, CA Job Details Part-time $25 - $27 an hour 16 hours ago Qualifications Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Passenger vehicle Professional ethics Employee relationship building High school diploma or GED Driver's License Substance abuse counseling Relationship management Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders Counseling Certification Substance abuse services in social work Full Job Description Under direct supervision of the DUI Program Coordinator, the DUI Counselor will provide counseling and education services to individuals referred to for Driving Under the Influence offenses. The DUI Counselor will facilitate DUI education and counseling services, conduct client assessments, develop individualized service plans, maintain accurate and confidential documentation, and support clients in addressing substance use.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Adheres to El Concilio California policies and procedures per the agency employee manual. Provide individual and/or group counseling related to alcohol and other drug use, impaired driving, decision-making, and behavioral change. Facilitate DUI education classes and group sessions in accordance with applicable program requirements. Monitor client participation, progress, attendance, and compliance with program requirements. Participate in case consultation, staff meetings, supervision, training, and quality-improvement activities. Recognize and respond appropriately to client crises or safety concerns and follow organizational protocols. Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to all applicable ethical, legal, licensing, and confidentiality requirements. Ensure closure of building during after-hours. Required to work El Concilio California special events and meetings. Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and administration.

Language:
Bilingual or multilingual abilities relevant to the community served are highly preferred.
EDUCATION A
High School Diploma with an active Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor credential is required. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience providing Substance Abuse Counseling or in similar capacity is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver's License Up to date automobile insurance Successful completion of Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Successful completion of Workplace Violence Prevention Training Successful completion of HIPPA Training DRIVING Driving is an essential function of this position.
All candidates must have:
A valid driver's license Reliable Transportation Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties The ability to qualify for the agency's insurance coverage Required to work out of other El Concilio California offices and conduct outreach at public/community events.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, and kneel for long periods. The employee frequently is required to walk, drive, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to bend, reach overhead, grasp, push, pull, stoop and lift, and move up to 25 pounds. The employee will frequently load and unload program items from personal vehicle.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Primary work environment is an office setting, and public venues. The employee will occasionally be required to work outside in moderate weather.
