Part-Time Employment Mentor (Community Job Coach) -
Delta Pay:
$19.00-$23.00 per hour

Community-Based / On the Road Position Summary Expert Vocational Insights is seeking a Part-Time Employment Mentor (Community Job Coach) to provide hands-on employment support to individuals with disabilities throughout Delta and surrounding communities . Employment Mentors work directly alongside participants at their jobs, helping them learn job duties, understand workplace expectations, improve communication and time management, and become increasingly independent at work. This is an active, community-based position and is not a desk job . Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one job coaching at community employment sites. Teach job duties using individualized coaching and instructional strategies. Support workplace communication, professionalism, time management, and appropriate social interactions. Help participants develop independence and gradually reduce direct support when appropriate. Identify barriers affecting job performance and develop practical strategies to address them. Collaborate with employers, families, case managers, and vocational rehabilitation counselors. Complete accurate and timely case notes and required service documentation. Travel throughout Delta and surrounding communities to participant job sites. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Strong communication, reliability, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in changing community environments. Comfortable working alongside participants in a variety of workplaces. Basic computer and electronic documentation skills. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance. Ability to pass required background checks. Experience in retail, food service, customer service, coaching, education, human services, behavioral health, DSP services, vocational rehabilitation, supported employment, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Work Environment This is a physically active, community-based position that may require extended standing and walking, bending, reaching, lifting up to 30 pounds occasionally, and working indoors or outdoors. Scheduling is based on participant employment needs and may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
