$70,000-$74,999 - Determined by Credentials and Experience Position Summary The Assistant Vice President for Career and Technical Education & Continuing Education provides leadership for career and technical education programs, workforce education, and continuing education initiatives that support student career preparation and regional workforce needs. The Assistant Vice President for Career and Technical Education & Continuing Education supports program development, industry partnerships, and workforce training aligned with the College's mission and service area. The Assistant Vice President for Career and Technical Education & Continuing Education works collaboratively with others to ensure programs support student success, workforce preparation, and community partnerships. This position promotes responsiveness to workforce trends, program quality, and continuous improvement of workforce education programs. Essential Functions Career and Technical Education Leadership Provides leadership for career and technical education programs and related instructional areas. Oversees program development, review, and improvement to ensure alignment with workforce needs. Supports implementation of industry standards, certifications, and licensure requirements. Promotes instructional quality and program effectiveness within technical education areas. Supports faculty and instructional leaders in maintaining relevant and responsive programs. Workforce and Continuing Education Programs Provides leadership for workforce education and continuing education initiatives. Supports development of non-credit programs, customized training, and contract training opportunities. Develops partnerships with business, industry, and community organizations. Promotes programming that supports career advancement and lifelong learning. Monitors workforce trends and supports program adjustments to meet regional needs. Program Development and Community Partnerships Develops and maintains relationships with employers, economic development organizations, and community partners. Supports grant development and workforce funding opportunities. Promotes collaboration with secondary schools and community organizations to support workforce pathways. Identifies opportunities for new programs that respond to labor market demands. Supports outreach activities that promote workforce education opportunities. Administration and Program Operations Oversees budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation within Career and Technical Education & Continuing Education. Supervises and evaluates direct reports within the division. Ensures programs comply with institutional, state, and federal requirements. Develops procedures that support effective program administration. Supports reporting and documentation related to workforce and technical programs. Additional Responsibilities Serves on institutional committees as assigned. Maintains professional knowledge of workforce education and career and technical education best practices. Adheres to institutional, state, and federal policies. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Master's degree in career and technical education, workforce education, higher education, business, or related field. Experience in career and technical education, workforce development, or continuing education administration. Knowledge of workforce education practices and industry partnership development. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
