Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and document patient observations, vital signs, and overall condition Administer medications and manage care plans in accordance with healthcare providers' instructions Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being Utilize equipment such as assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and mobility Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and sanitation Follow HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times Support patients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, autism, or developmental disabilities through tailored activities and care strategies Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and social workers to deliver comprehensive care Requirements Currently hold or willing to obtain caregiver certification Prior experience in home health, hospice care, nursing homes, assisted living, or group homes is preferred Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various care environments Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in condition Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare teams Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve clients' quality of life Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus This role is vital in providing compassionate caregiving that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being for those under your care.
