Responsibilities Provide attentive and personalized care to children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, learning, and fun Supervise children during daily routines, playtime, outings, and educational activities to ensure safety at all times Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, needs, and any concerns Assist with feeding, diapering, dressing, and other daily self-care routines in accordance with individual care plans Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior and social skills development Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of abuse or neglect promptly and appropriately Requirements Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly preferred Prior childcare experience including babysitting, nannying, daycare work or classroom teaching with young children is essential Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in these areas is encouraged Ability to plan age-appropriate activities that foster learning and social interaction for children of all ages Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, team members, and other caregivers Familiarity with behavior management strategies and childhood safety protocols Must be reliable, patient, energetic, and committed to creating a supportive environment for children This role offers an enriching environment where your caregiving skills will be valued and nurtured.
