We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Attendant to support participants in a PACE day center and community-based setting.

Chavez Ave, LA, CA Position Overview Under the supervision of the PACE Supervisor, the PCA provides hands-on support to participants throughout the day center and community settings. This role assists with personal care, meals, activities, mobility, and transportation to outside appointments while helping create a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for participants. Key Responsibilities Assist participants with feeding, personal care, mobility, and transfers. Support meal preparation, serving, and kitchen organization. Escort and accompany participants to outside medical appointments as needed. Assist with recreational, social, and therapeutic activities. Monitor participant needs and document care and participation accurately. Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment. Follow proper food handling and safety standards. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and report changes in participant condition. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required. Current BLS certification required. Food Handler Certificate or ability to obtain within 30 days. Previous experience working with geriatric and/or disabled populations preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish Skills & Abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, patient-focused approach to participant care. Strong customer service skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities. Basic computer and data-entry skills. Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy standards. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to assist participants with mobility and transfers. Ability to travel locally with participants for medical appointments as needed.
