As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized care and support in various settings, including home health, assisted living, and nursing facilities. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at promoting independence and well-being among those you care for. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide patient care that includes monitoring vital signs and observing changes in health status. Support clients with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks. Assist with medication administration as per care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation, particularly for those with Alzheimer's or dementia. Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary. Document patient observations and report any significant changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of clients. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, hospice care, or long-term care is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus. Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment is beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and assist clients with mobility challenges. Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately while providing direct support to residents.
