This vital role involves providing attentive, respectful, and personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether working in a home setting, assisted living facility, or group home, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver dedicated to enhancing quality of life through dedicated service and compassionate support. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any concerns promptly. Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Support residents with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices; perform heavy lifting safely when required. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning rooms, laundry, and sanitizing common areas. Document care activities meticulously in accordance with facility protocols and state regulations; update care plans regularly. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents with conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease, fostering a supportive environment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans; participate in team meetings for ongoing resident support. Follow all safety procedures including CPR, first aid, and emergency protocols to ensure the well-being of residents at all times. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health agencies, or group homes is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring. Experience assisting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia care is advantageous. Familiarity with medication administration procedures and HIPAA compliance is essential. Hands-on experience with mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or resident transfer techniques is beneficial. Strong background in providing compassionate patient care across diverse settings including hospice or long-term care environments.
