Job Description

In this rewarding role, you will help individuals build independence, develop life skills, and achieve personal goals while living in a supportive group home environment. We are currently hiring for Full-Time and PRN positions . Position Summary As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide hands-on support to residents in a home setting, assisting them with daily activities and helping them gain greater independence. Responsibilities include teaching life skills, supporting community engagement, documenting progress, and creating a safe, positive living environment. This is a residential caregiving role focused on empowering individuals to live meaningful, independent lives. Key Competencies Strong communication skills Participant-centered approach Customer service and support mindset Critical and creative problem-solving Professional ethics and integrity Adaptability and flexibility Genuine desire to help others Essential Responsibilities Provide quality care and support for participants in a residential setting. Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including: Meal preparation and cooking Housekeeping and cleaning Laundry Personal grooming and hygiene support Shopping and budgeting skills Administer medications as authorized (QMAP certification required; training provided if needed). Maintain accurate participant records and complete documentation using electronic systems. Support participants in achieving individual goals and tracking progress. Plan, coordinate, and participate in home-based and community activities. Maintain a positive, professional attitude while building supportive relationships. Effectively manage and respond to challenging situations when they arise. QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED. Minimum age of 18 years. Basic cooking knowledge and meal preparation skills. Ability to use computers and complete written documentation. Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug/alcohol screening. Preferred Previous caregiving experience (1 year preferred). Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR). Colorado QMAP Certification. CPR and First Aid Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Colorado Food Handler's License. Training and certification opportunities may be provided for qualified candidates.
Compensation Pay Range:
$18.00 to $20.00 per hour Compensation is based on experience, education, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.

Non-Exempt Supervisory Responsibilities:
