What You'll Do Provide respectful assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Prepare and serve nutritious meals, accommodating dietary needs and preferences. Support clients in attending appointments, community activities, and social events. Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a safe, organized living environment. Administer medications as directed and monitor for changes in health or behavior. Encourage independence by teaching and reinforcing life skills, from cooking to personal budgeting. Offer emotional support, companionship, and active listening to foster trust and well-being. Document care activities and communicate effectively with family members, healthcare providers, and the care team. What You'll Bring Genuine compassion, patience, and respect for individuals of all abilities. Experience in caregiving, healthcare, or working with persons with disabilities (formal or informal). Knowledge of safe transfer techniques, mobility aids, and adaptive equipment. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and families. Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow care plans. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
