12 hour shifts on Saturdays, Sundays 6am-6pm and one overnight shift during the week Please do not apply if you are unable to work these shifts.
A driver's license is required.
Must be able to successfully pass a level 2 background check.
Direct Care Staff will be responsible for providing interactive supervision of the residents in a girls teen group home. A safe, structured and nurturing home environment must be maintained. This position will oversee the residents' daily schedules, activities, provide transportation in the agency vehicle, and document any incidents and information that addresses the needs of the residents. This position will be involved in assisting residents with life/independent living skills. The following duties and responsibilities are given as examples of the various types of work performed in this position: Exhibit emotional control, patience and behaviors that are nurturing Role model and teach appropriate social skills, independent living skills, dress codes, language, and public behaviors Administer and document all medications given to a resident Write incident reports as necessary and maintain checklists/logbooks Transport residents in agency vehicle to various locations such as work, appointments, and activities Facilitate community and recreational outings Interact with other professionals such as teachers and other external service providers to maximize residents' success Maintain a safe, clean, homelike environment to include housekeeping and meal preparation
Minimum Qualifications:
Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Ability to establish effective working relationships with residents, co-workers, and other individuals. High School diploma
REQUIRED
Experience working in childcare, child welfare, social services, human services is a plus At least 21 years of age Must possess a valid Florida driver's license Must be able to work nightshift Must be able to successfully pass a background check Must be willing to become first aid/CPR certified If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, we encourage you to apply.
