In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for maintaining beautiful lawns, landscapes, and outdoor areas through skilled operation of groundskeeping equipment and hands-on horticultural work. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create inviting, well-manicured environments that enhance community spaces, commercial properties, or private landscapes. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your outdoor work skills while contributing to the beauty and safety of outdoor environments. Duties Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, power tools, and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently to maintain lawns, gardens, and hardscape features Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and mulching to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal Manage irrigation systems to optimize watering schedules and troubleshoot issues for consistent landscape health Conduct trimming, pruning, and removal of shrubs and hedges as needed to promote safety and landscape aesthetics Follow all safety protocols diligently while handling equipment and chemicals such as pesticides or fertilizers Requirements Prior outdoor work experience Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, irrigation systems, and grounds maintenance equipment a plus Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices including lawn care, tree care, gardening, hardscape installation, and plant identification a plus Ability to operate groundskeeping machinery safely while adhering to safety protocols at all times Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, operating machinery for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions Valid experience with grounds maintenance equipment operation such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, a plus Must have a clean and valid driver's license This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about outdoor environments who want to grow their skills in landscaping and groundskeeping.
