Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA)/Caregiver to provide high-quality, personalized care to individuals in their homes or assisted living environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient well-being, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of home healthcare practices. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by supporting their daily needs with professionalism, empathy, and respect. All positions are paid and require a genuine passion for caregiving and patient-centered service. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Monitor and observe patients' health status, including vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, documenting changes accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Administer medications following prescribed schedules and medical protocols while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral management techniques. Support clients with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing, and basic life support (BLS) or CPR when necessary. Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment. Utilize patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts to ensure safe mobility assistance for geriatric or disabled clients. Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive home health care assistance that meets regulatory standards and client needs. Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and home health care regulations. Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation accurately and respond promptly to changing health conditions. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is advantageous. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in hospice or end-of-life care is a plus. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and client record management. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for patient transfer methods using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction, family updates, and teamwork within healthcare environments.
