[Port Richey, FL] About the Position We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and responsible Overnight Direct Care Staff member to join our team at an APD-supported, behavior-focused group home. The ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral needs while maintaining a safe, structured, and respectful home environment throughout the overnight shift. Responsibilities Provide supervision and support to residents throughout the overnight shift. Follow each individual's support plan, behavior plan, and house procedures. Monitor residents and respond appropriately to behavioral or safety concerns. Assist with personal care and daily living needs as required. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized residential environment. Complete required overnight checks and documentation. Accurately document incidents, observations, and significant changes in behavior or condition. Administer medications only if properly trained and authorized. Follow APD regulations, company policies, and all required health and safety procedures. Communicate important information to incoming staff and management. Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow emergency procedures. Maintain confidentiality and treat all residents with dignity and respect. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral needs is preferred. Must be dependable and able to work overnight shifts. Strong communication and documentation skills. Must be patient, responsible, and able to remain calm during challenging situations. Must be able to pass required background screening and meet APD employment requirements. CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Med Tech, Behavior Assistant, or other applicable certifications are a plus. Pay:
